MAZA KUTE SINGERS


DMT Dakota Drum Group — The Maza Kute singers are a tradional singing group from the Santee Indian Reservation. Santee, Nebraska is located in the Northeast corner of Nebraska along the barks of the Missouri river. The Maza Kute drum group has been singing for over 30 years, the group was formed in 1979. This drum group has kept the music alive in the Santee community with the help of many great singers. They have singers and relatives scattered thru out Indian Country and have traveled extensively.

The Maza Kute singers were given the name after forming by the commuity in honor of one of our leaders, Maza Kute.
